Umbrella Security Services is a national, industry-leading security company. Operating out of their head office in Birmingham. They previously worked with an SEO company to improve their online profile but experienced poor results. The requirement was to build a stronger local presence in Birmingham and more specifically to expand into London. Our task was to build clearer website content and deliver effective SEO which would allow them to achieve these highly-competitive rankings.

This was a phased approach to ensure the website didn’t drop any of its existing rankings. The initial work focused on the website itself. This involved improving the on-page content and technical aspects to deliver SEO optimisation. Content marketing through blog posts was also added into the mix.
To achieve a ranking in London was always going to be a challenge. We needed a strategy for SEO site architecture. A bespoke page for London was really important to ensure the required competitive rankings were achieved. The next stage was to increase the momentum we had generated. This resulted in Umbrella Security Services commissioning a new website with us, which would incorporate best-practice SEO.
The Results
Year on year the traffic to their website has grown. Over 60% of this is organic search traffic, demonstrating the success of our SEO strategy. London is a highly competitive area but we have more than achieved the required rankings. In addition and closer to home, we delivered prominence in local map listings for their services throughout Birmingham.
